If you ask homeschool parents there most dreaded school subject, 9 times out of 10 it is MATH.
Over my years of homeschool, I have found that math is a difficult subject to teach for parents.
Maybe it is because we already know the answer (sometimes!) and how to solve the problem.
It ‘s hard for us to see how our kids do not understand the problem!
We lose patience; our children lose hope. And math becomes a dreaded subject.
There are so many curriculums that can make math so easy.
(I received this product for free and was compensated for my time. All opinions are honest, and I was not required to post a positive review.)
One of my brand new favorites is Math Mammoth.
Maybe you have been missing the homeschool math curriculum that is going to make it all easier!
Why choose Math Mammoth?
I love that this curriculum focuses on conceptual understanding of the concepts.
Throughout Math Mammoth. you will find visual models.
This page using the number line was a huge hit with her.
It allowed her to see exactly how to reach the answer!
Benefits of Math Mammoth Curriculum
Math Mammoth requires absolutely no prep.
Each grade level comes with two student worktexts. Each worktext has both the teaching (explanations) and all the student work (exercises).
You will also find answer keys, tests, and cumulative review lessons.
I was amazed at how quickly my kindergartener (who is using level 1 Math Mammoth) was able to complete the student work on her own.
She can read a little, but it was through the visual examples that she started working independently.
She was very proud of herself!
It was a huge confidence booster.
What is Included
This math curriculum is a comprehensive curriculum.
For one low price (and I mean low!) you receive FULL math curriculum for grade 1 all the way to grade 7!
With this one purchase, I will have 7 grades of math ready to go on my computer for printing and placing in my homeschool crate.
How to Use Math Mammoth
Once I had the pdf downloaded, I skimmed through the first few lessons.
The first part was review and seemed like concepts my daughter had already mastered.
I gave her Test 1, and quickly realized she was ready to move on.
The beauty of having a curriculum in a pdf is you get to choose what to teach and what to print.
By looking ahead and thinking of her skill level, I saved time and ink!
I am a huge fan of pdf and digital products.
They save me space and are always ready for the next student to use.
I keep a folder for each grade on my computer, which allows me to know where each curriculum is when needed.
