I have a four-year-old who loves letters.
Like singing the alphabet all day, pointing out letters everywhere, and doing his alphabet puzzle every day kind of love!
I was in need of something new to do with him to nurture his love of letters.
I found these Duplo letter mats, and they have done the trick.
123 Homeschool for Me has FREE printable Lego Duplo Letter Mats for each letter of the alphabet.
Simply print and have fun.
These are the ways we have been using these mats:
Give your child the letter. Have your little one count out the number of blocks needed to make the letter. Find the blocks and build.
GUESS THE LETTER
Mix up the letters. Randomly choose one and have your child guess the letter before building. For an extra challenge, have your little one learn or tell you the phonetic sound.
LINE THE LETTERS UP
This one has been my son’s favorite. He builds the letters and lines them up in alphabetical order.
