Let me be honest.
I fought the concept of a capsule wardrobe for a LONG TIME.
I would see ideas on Pinterest and look the other way.
I was terrified to create a capsule wardrobe.
First of all, how do you decide what to include?
Secondly, do you get rid of everything else?
Finally, what do you wear? How do you put it all together?
Putting Fears of a Capsule Wardrobe Aside
Then, one day, I knew I was ready for a change.
I was wearing the same things over and over anyway.
But I felt like my style was lacking. I needed to put things together better.
However, I did not have the time or brainpower to figure it out.
How I Started a Capsule Wardrobe
I finally started a capsule wardrobe by not reinventing the wheel.
I went to the expert frumpy fighter Corina at Now That I Can Do.
I started with the fall wardrobe guide.
First, I separated the items from the wardrobe list that I already had in my closet.
Then, I scoured the internet (Nordstrom and Gap) for a couple of pieces I was missing.
Finally, I set aside the items for my capsule wardrobe in my closet.
I kept the rest of my clothes in the closet just a little more out of the way.
My fears were gone! I now knew what to set aside. I did have to get rid of everything else. Plus, I knew how to put the outfits together thanks to the guides!
Benefits of a Capsule Wardrobe

#3 I look more pulled together because I am mixing and matching pieces.
#4 I love what I am wearing.
#5 No more panic when packing or traveling.
I LOVE having a capsule wardrobe.
Tips to Get Started with a Capsule Wardrobe
I cannot recommend Corina’s outfit guides enough.
I have all the guides: fall, winter, and spring/summer.
Looking back, I should have just bought the complete guide from the start! I love these guides that much!!
They are perfect for Stay-at-Home moms. As a homeschooling mom myself, I am home a lot. But I still like to look presentable and put together.
I just feel more productive. These guides have been a lifesaver!
Next, use your closet to find what pieces you have.
If possible, buy a few pieces you are missing.
And you are done!
Seriously, so simple.
Plus, Corina’s guides tell you what to wear each day with the pieces you already have!
Still on the Fence??
Corina also offers The Moms’ Wardrobe and Style Guide for FREE.
This is a great way to see how she puts the outfits together so easily, and if this idea is for you!
These step-by-step capsule creation guides are amazing.
I use mine every day.
No more guessing. No more searching. A LOT less shopping.
The capsule wardrobe is the way to go. And I will never look back.
