Where do we begin?
Surviving the holiday season for our family involves simplicity and doing what truly matters.
But you know one of the hardest parts about the holidays for me??
ALL OF THE QUESTIONS.
My kids are so inquisitive about EVERYTHING.
Moms, do you feel me??
I do not always have the answers to holiday-related questions.
My kids want to know the ins and outs, the whys and hows.
And for me, a Christian perspective on holidays is vital.
I needed a guide to help me give them the answers in a way they can understand.
I am here to tell you that I have the resource that you need AND a chance for you to win this resource so keep on reading!

Here are the books:
Benefits of the Love Letters Series
These books are what I have been looking for the past few years.
They are from a Christian perspective of each holiday.
Each book illustrates the meaning behind the holiday.
The book is written as a letter from a young kid explaining how he has learned the true meaning of each holiday.
Why you need these books:
- The love letter series answer holiday questions for you. The history and meaning behind each holiday is given in an easy to understand format for kids.
- The books are beautifully illustrated to keep kids’ attention.
- These books are high quality that will last for years of holiday reading.
A Love Letter About the True Meaning of Halloween
This book is perfect for kids who may be frightened by Halloween.
Each aspect of Halloween is explained.
This love letter book goes through how Halloween started, why people began dressing up, the story about bats and witches, and why Halloween is now a holiday.
It ends with the idea of carving your pumpkin to share the light of Jesus.
My kids’ favorite part about this book was learning about the superstitions people had and how they shaped the beginning of Halloween.
This brought up wonderful conversations about how as followers of Jesus, we know we are protected and loved so following superstitious beliefs is not necessary at all!
A Love Letter About the True Meaning of Thanksgiving
My boys are fascinated with the story of Pilgrims and Indians.
This love letter book gives the history of the Pilgrims arriving in the New World and their relationship with the Indians.
It is a story that reflects friendship and the goodness of God in helping others.
My big boys found it interesting that it was Abraham Lincoln that made the Thanksgiving Proclamation in 1863.
The bottom line in this book is that Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the past and present and give thanks to our loving God.
A Love Letter About the True Meaning of Christmas
This love letter book is an absolute must.
In a society surrounded by materialism and the “me” syndrome, this book does a beautiful job of acknowledging Santa, but sharing the true meaning of the story.
I loved the ending of the book, in which kids are reminded that this Christmas, they should give someone the greatest gift of all: share with them the story of Jesus so they too can have eternal life.
Whether your family allows Santa gifts or not, this book illustrates the true meaning of Christmas by celebrating Jesus’ birth and encouraging everyone to give the greatest gift of all: the gift of salvation.
As a mom who wants to reach her children’s hearts for Jesus, this Love Letter Series is absolutely perfect. The illustrations hold children’s attention and the message is spot on.
